Orchly vs Essel vs Promptwatch Content Agents 2026
Orchly and Essel are autopilot content engines that publish on a schedule and track citations as a scoreboard. Promptwatch Content Agents publish through a review inbox and then measure the crawl, the citation and the conversion.
Two new content autopilots landed in the directory this week. Orchly reads gaps across Google rankings, AI answers and Reddit threads, turns them into tasks and publishes articles after approval. Essel researches, writes, interlinks and publishes on a schedule with AI citation tracking as the scoreboard. Promptwatch Content Agents publish to a CMS through a review inbox and then measure whether the pages got crawled, cited and converted. Same job description, three different definitions of done.
Orchly and Essel facts were read from their pricing pages on 12 September 2026. Promptwatch facts come from the fact sheet sourced from promptwatch.com/llms.txt.
Orchly: gaps become tasks, tasks become pages
Orchly's Essential plan is $49 a month, or $37 billed annually: 25 AI prompts refreshed daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overview and Perplexity, 20 articles created or refreshed a month, 100 pages audited and tracked, 25 organic rank keywords, Reddit thread monitoring, Brand Knowledge for tone and facts, one website, MCP access, AI traffic analytics by engine, white-label reports and agency pitches. Pro is $125 ($93 annually) for 100 prompts, 50 articles, 300 pages, 50 keywords, three websites, five users, MCP and API. Enterprise is custom with unlimited prompts and custom agents. The 14-day trial needs no card.
The loop is the selling point. An agent spots a gap in a Google ranking, an AI answer or a Reddit thread, creates a task, drafts the article with internal and external links from your Brand Knowledge, and holds it for approval before publishing. AI shopping visibility is on the feature list. For a solo marketer that is three tools in one.
Two gaps on the pricing page matter for a buyer. Gemini, Google AI Mode, Grok and Claude are paid add-ons with no price shown. And the publishing targets are not listed, so confirm your CMS is supported before the trial ends.
Essel: structure for machines, on a schedule
Essel's argument is that writing for AI is mostly structure: standalone factual claims an engine can quote, an answer in the first paragraph, schema that says what the page is. The autopilot handles research, drafting, on-page optimisation and internal link weaving, then publishes on schedule or parks drafts in a review queue. Citation tracking on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews is the scoreboard: did the engines start mentioning you after the pages went live.
Starter is $55 a month for 20 articles, one workspace, weekly citation tracking and a 25-page site audit a month. Growth is $79 for 30 articles, twice-weekly citation tracking and a 50-page audit, with extra workspaces at $69 each. Pro is $159 for 60 articles, three workspaces, daily citation tracking, two 100-page audits a month and API access. Agency plans for four or more client sites start around $499. Pricing toggles between USD and INR, annual saves 20%, and the 14-day trial publishes five real articles on a real schedule with no card.
The scoreboard is small. There is no prompt-level dashboard with competitors or share of voice, and the pricing page does not list which CMS platforms it publishes to.
Promptwatch Content Agents: gate, publish, prove
Promptwatch Content Agents plan, write and publish GEO content to Webflow or Framer, with WordPress listed as coming soon. Every article is sourced from a measured content gap, a tracked prompt or competitor data, and nothing goes live until a human accepts the slot in the review inbox. Essential is $95 a month with a 7-day trial: 5 AEO articles, 50 prompts, 6,000 responses, 200K visitor events, one seat. Professional is $245: 15 articles, 150 prompts, 18,000 responses, 1M visitor events, 25M crawler logs, two seats. Business is $579: 30 articles, 350 prompts, five seats. Explore is free with 10 ChatGPT prompts.
Article counts are lower than Orchly's 20 to 50 or Essel's 20 to 60, and that is the point of the design. The volume is smaller because each slot is chosen from data, and each published page is then followed by the rest of the platform. Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler hitting the new URL and maps the crawl to the citation. Citation analytics reach page, domain, Reddit, YouTube and offsite level with trends. Visitor analytics tie the AI-referred session to a conversion. Orchly and Essel tell you an article went live and whether a mention appeared. Promptwatch tells you which bot read it, where it got cited and whether the visit converted.

Which to buy
Buy Orchly if you want the cheapest loop from gap to approved article and value Reddit and Google rank tracking in the same $49. Buy Essel if you want the most articles per dollar with a structure-first GEO layer and a scheduled autopilot, and a weekly or twice-weekly citation check is enough scoreboard. Buy Promptwatch Content Agents if the article is a means and the citation and conversion are the end, because it is the only one of the three that publishes the crawler, citation and conversion layers that prove it. Both autopilots leave the publishing targets off their pricing pages; Promptwatch names its two and the one coming. promptwatch.com. Directory: /tools/orchly/, /tools/essel/, /tools/promptwatch/.
