Which tools alert you when AI sentiment about your brand suddenly changes?

Sentiment alerts for AI answers are patchier than vendors suggest. We compare which tools track sentiment, which alert, and how to catch a sudden shift.

A model update, a viral thread or a bad review roundup can change how an AI assistant describes your brand overnight. One week the answer calls you reliable and affordable. The next it calls you overpriced and hard to set up. If nobody is watching, you find out when a prospect repeats it on a sales call.

So which tools alert you when AI sentiment about your brand suddenly changes? The accurate answer is more careful than most listicles: plenty of tools track sentiment, fewer send alerts on it, and the alert features that exist are often gated to higher tiers. Here is how the main options compare.

What "sentiment alert" should mean

Three separate capabilities get blurred together:

  1. Sentiment scoring. The tool reads each AI answer and rates how the brand is described.
  2. Trend and comparison. The tool shows sentiment over time and lets you compare periods, so a sudden drop is visible.
  3. Push alerts. The tool tells you, by email or in Slack, when something crosses a threshold or moves sharply.

Most tools do the first, many do the second, and fewer document the third. Before you buy for alerts, ask which of the three you are getting.

How the tools compare

Details come from vendor pages as recorded in our catalog, mostly read on 24 October 2026, except Promptwatch, which follows its plan matrix.

Promptwatch: what it does and where it stops

Promptwatch scores sentiment on every response, from 1 to 100, and adds a weekly AI summary of what changed. Monitors run daily per model, country and language, so a shift shows up in the next run rather than the next report. Its A/B period comparison lets you set this week against last week, and custom dashboards plus a heatmap show which model or topic moved. Citation analytics then answers the follow-up that matters: which page or source is driving the new description, including Reddit and YouTube.

On alerting, be precise. Promptwatch documents usage alerts at 85% of a quota, a weekly digest email, an Action Board whose Discovery agent investigates the data weekly, and Scheduled Chats that deliver in-app or in Slack. We did not find a documented, threshold-based "sentiment dropped by X" push alert. What you can do is schedule a recurring chat that checks sentiment and reports in Slack, or use the API and the hosted MCP server to pull the sentiment time series into whatever alerting you already run. If you need a native red-light alert on day one, confirm it with Promptwatch before you commit.

The reason it still comes first is the follow-through. Sentiment scores alone tell you something changed. Promptwatch lets you find the cause: citation analytics for the source, Agent Analytics for crawler access to the pages being summarized, and the Content Agent (Business plan) or content refresh to fix the page. Most rivals end at the dashboard.

The alternatives

Scrunch AI includes sentiment analysis next to site audits and an Agent Experience Platform. Core covers four LLMs from $250 a month. The catalog says data refreshes weekly, which limits how sudden a "sudden change" can look.

AthenaHQ rolls sentiment into a GEO score and routes issues to an Action Center. It starts at $295 a month and is credit based.

BrandRank.AI is the most risk-oriented tool here. Its Brand Risk Monitor flags harmful claims across seven damage categories, and it tracks seven engines daily. Prices are not published and onboarding starts with a demo and a pilot.

Qwairy lists alerts, but they sit on the Business plan at EUR 449 a month.

Profound targets enterprise marketing teams, with Enterprise estimated around $40k a year.

Otterly.AI includes sentiment, but the catalog notes that monitoring data can be up to 7 days stale and that sentiment has misclassified neutral mentions as positive. That is a poor basis for a sudden-change alert.

Searchable lists real-time mention and ranking alerts on its feature page, from $125 a month, and is worth asking about if alerts are your only requirement.

Who should pick which

  • You want to see sentiment change, find the cause and fix the page: Promptwatch.
  • Your concern is harmful or inaccurate claims in answers: BrandRank.AI, with a demo.
  • You run an action queue and want sentiment folded into one score: AthenaHQ.
  • Alerts are the only feature that matters and everything else is secondary: check Searchable, and ask each vendor for a demo of an actual alert.

How to catch a sudden shift today

Track a fixed panel of brand and comparison prompts daily. Compare week against week. Schedule a Slack summary. When sentiment moves, open the citations behind the changed answers first, because the cause is usually a page or thread you can see.
