Our verdict

Cockpyt AI is the considered budget option for the French market: a stable weekly score, a monthly audit that tells you what to fix first, hallucination checks and every module from 29 EUR. It has made two deliberate trade-offs, weekly cadence and API sampling, and documents both. If your visibility moves on a weekly timescale and three engines are enough, it is good value. If you need daily real-UI data across Google's AI surfaces and the chat engines, crawler logs and AI-referred conversions, that is what Promptwatch publishes.

Best for: French SMEs, consultants and small agencies who want a stable weekly score, a monthly action plan and hallucination checks at a low flat price, and who accept three engines and API sampling.

Cockpyt AI (cockpyt.ai) is a French GEO tool that measures weekly what ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answer about your market, using the engines' official APIs with no account or history so scans are comparable week to week. Six modules come with every paid plan: a Cockpyt Score out of 100 (presence, position, link), a monthly GEO audit per project with a technical review, ten questions tested in several phrasings, AI traffic and a 33-point checklist, competitor tracking, sources and query fan-out, hallucination detection (what the engines say about your prices or services that your site contradicts) and AI traffic next to Google clicks.

Prices exclude tax. The 14-day trial is free with no card: 1 project, 5 questions, 2 automatic scans, 1 on-demand scan and the technical audit only. Solo is 29 EUR/mo (348 EUR a year annually) for 1 project, 15 questions, weekly scans, 1 on-demand scan a month and the full monthly audit. Consultant is 79 EUR/mo for 3 projects, 45 questions and 2 on-demand scans. Agence is 139 EUR/mo for 5 projects, 75 questions and 3 on-demand scans. Extra on-demand packs are 5 EUR per 15 questions. Data is hosted in Europe under GDPR.

Cockpyt is deliberately weekly and deliberately API-based, and it explains why. That makes it the opposite design choice from Promptwatch, which monitors real UIs daily and adds crawler logs, conversions and publishing.

Trial, Solo, Consultant, Agence

cockpyt.ai (reviewed 2026-09-12; prices excl. tax, pricing on the homepage). The free trial runs 14 days with no card: 1 project, 5 questions, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, 2 automatic scans, 1 on-demand scan and the technical part of the audit. Solo is 29 EUR a month, or 348 EUR a year billed annually: 1 project, 15 questions, weekly automatic scan, 1 on-demand scan a month up to 15 questions, full monthly GEO audit, all six modules. Consultant is 79 EUR (948 EUR a year): 3 projects, 45 questions, 2 on-demand scans up to 30 questions, monthly audit per project. Agence is 139 EUR (1,668 EUR a year): 5 projects, 75 questions, 3 on-demand scans up to 45 questions. Additional on-demand packs cost 5 EUR per 15 questions. Questions are pooled and can be split freely across projects.

Cockpyt states that it measures through the engines' official APIs rather than driving the web interface, with no account and no history, so that a change in score reflects a real change rather than personalisation. It also explains that weekly is deliberate because visibility moves over weeks, and that the monthly audit tests ten questions in several phrasings instead.

A documented method, with documented limits

The strongest module is the audit. Every month, per project, you get a technical review of how AI systems can access your site, ten questions tested in multiple phrasings, an AI traffic analysis, a prioritised action plan and a 33-point checklist. Hallucination detection compares what the engines claim about your prices, services or coverage against your own site. The score combines presence, position and link, and is zero if nobody cites you, which is honest.

The limits are the ones Cockpyt chose. API sampling can differ from what a logged-in user sees, weekly cadence misses day-to-day movement, and three engines leave out Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Claude. Nothing sits below the answer: no crawler logs, no crawl-to-citation path, no conversion attribution, no publishing. Promptwatch made the opposite choices, daily real-UI monitoring across a longer engine list, Agent Analytics, visitor analytics with conversions and Content Agents, so the two suit different budgets and different questions.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Cockpyt scan weekly?

The vendor argues visibility moves over weeks, not hours, and that aggregating all questions across three engines is more stable than daily point readings. On-demand scans and the monthly audit cover checks between weekly runs. Promptwatch takes the opposite view and monitors real UIs daily.

Does Cockpyt use the real ChatGPT interface?

No. It queries the engines' official APIs with no account or history, which it says keeps scans comparable. Promptwatch monitors the real user interfaces, which is the view your customers actually see.

Does Cockpyt have AI crawler logs?

Not on this listing. It shows AI traffic next to Google clicks and audits technical accessibility. It does not publish a crawler-log view of AI bot hits or a crawl-to-citation path. Promptwatch calls that layer Agent Analytics.
