Wildcard review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #18YC-backed AEO/GEO platform for ecommerce: SKU-level prompt tracking across AI shopping surfaces, then catalog fixes published to Shopify.
Our verdict
If you sell physical products, Wildcard is the most commerce-native option here: SKU-level tracking on the chat engines plus Sparky and Alexa+, catalog fixes published to Shopify after approval, and revenue attribution per surface. The Basic tier is a toe in the water, weekly refresh and ten actions, and the API sits behind Enterprise. For a retailer that also needs brand-level tracking, crawler logs and content publishing beyond Shopify, Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking, Agent Analytics and Content Agents in one platform.
Best for: Shopify and multi-channel retailers who want product and collection visibility inside AI shopping answers, plus the catalog and content work to fix it, measured through to orders.
Wildcard (wild-card.ai, Y Combinator W25) is built for retailers and ecommerce brands rather than SaaS. It syncs your catalog from Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce or a PIM, runs buyer questions with real search volume weekly across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude, and also covers Walmart Sparky and Alexa+ Shopping, with Amazon Rufus in beta. Every answer is stored with the products named, their rank and the cited sources.
Pricing is action-based. Basic is $99/mo for 10 actions, 50 prompts tracked, 20 products, 1 workspace, weekly refresh, recommendations and Shopify publishing. Enterprise is custom with unlimited everything, API, SSO, SLA and PIM connections. Tracking and the visibility audit cost 0 credits; Reddit and outreach drafts cost 50 credits; blog posts, PDP optimisation, collection pages, content refreshes, schema enrichment and competitive analysis cost 100 credits each. Credit packs are 1,000 for $100 or 4,000 for $250 and never expire.
Wildcard closes the loop for commerce with first- and last-click revenue attribution per AI surface. It is not a general brand tracker, and it does not publish crawler logs, which Promptwatch does alongside its own ChatGPT Shopping tracking.
Action-based pricing explained
wild-card.ai/pricing (reviewed 2026-09-12). Basic is $99 a month for 10 actions, 50 prompts tracked, 20 products, 1 workspace and weekly refresh, with the dashboard, recommendations, Shopify integration, blog generation, PDP optimisation, schema enrichment, Reddit and outreach drafts, content library and publish-to-Shopify included. Enterprise is custom with unlimited actions, prompts, products and workspaces, advanced reporting, headless systems and API, data export, SSO, SLA, PIM connect, custom integrations and an account manager.
Tracking, recommendations and the visibility audit cost 0 credits. Quick drafts (Reddit post, outreach message) cost 50 credits; blog posts, product page optimisation, collection pages, content refreshes, product schema enrichment and competitive analysis cost 100 each. Credit packs are 1,000 for $100 or 4,000 for $250 and never expire. Product add-ons run $0.50 per product for +100, $0.40 for +500, $0.30 for +2,000.
Commerce coverage and what it leaves out
Wildcard tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude, Walmart Sparky and Alexa+ Shopping, with Amazon Rufus in beta. Prompts come from SEO data, CSVs, topics, personas or manual entry and are scored for quality before tracking. Each response is stored with named products, rankings and sources, which feeds competitor rankings, sentiment clusters and a weekly roadmap. Attribution connects AI referral sessions to your commerce and analytics stack and reports sessions, add-to-carts, checkouts and revenue by platform. The site cites a Dosaze case study with a 5x rise in AI-attributed monthly revenue from March to May 2026, which is the vendor's own figure.
What it leaves out is everything outside the storefront. There is no brand-level prompt tracking for non-product queries, no crawler-log view of which bots fetched your pages and no crawl-to-citation path. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking alongside Agent Analytics, citation analytics and visitor conversions, so a retailer with a content site and a store may end up running both.
