AI Brand Monitoring Platform: Profound, BrandWell, Otterly, Peec AI, Scrunch
Five AI brand monitoring platforms judged on what they do after they spot a bad answer, with published pricing, BrandWell's bundled Visibility tool, and why Promptwatch ranks first.
Every platform in this search can show you that ChatGPT described your brand badly. That's table stakes by now. The real difference is what happens next, and on this site that decides the ranking: a platform that monitors and then corrects sits above one that only monitors.
We've added Promptwatch to the five names in the search, because a comparison of brand monitoring platforms without it skips the one we'd test first. BrandWell isn't in our catalog, so its facts come from its own visibility and pricing pages, read on 3 October 2026. Everything else comes from our catalog entries.
Questions to ask before the demo
Start with where the answer comes from. Some tools read the live chat interface. Others send the prompt to a model through an API or a provider. Your buyers see the interface, and the two can differ.
Then ask what source the engine cited. A bad answer usually leans on a page somebody can fix, and a monitor that hides the source leaves you guessing which page that is.
After that, the agentic questions. Can the platform tell you whether an AI crawler read your correction? Can it write and publish the correction, or does the workflow end at a report? Most vendors in this group get through the first two questions comfortably and go quiet on the last two.
1. Promptwatch
What it monitors: brand mentions, sentiment and share of voice across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Copilot and others, plus AI Overviews and AI Mode, read from the real interfaces. Citation analytics trace each answer to the page, domain, Reddit thread or YouTube video it leaned on, and citation trends show when a source starts or stops being used.
What it does about it: Content Agents plan, write and publish correction pages to Webflow or Framer through a review inbox. Unified Actions turns the data into a to-do list. Agent Analytics shows whether ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot fetched the new page, and visitor analytics show whether AI-referred visitors convert.
Price: a free Explore tier with 10 ChatGPT prompts. Essential is $95/mo with 5 AEO articles a month. Crawler logs start on Professional at $245/mo. Promptwatch review.
2. Scrunch AI
What it monitors: visibility across up to nine engines on Enterprise, plus competitor benchmarking.
What it does about it: its Agent Experience Platform serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to LLM crawlers while the human site stays untouched. That's a real correction path for brand narrative, and it doesn't need your content team. The catalog flags weekly refreshes and thin reporting, so measuring whether the served version worked takes extra effort.
Price: Starter from $250/mo billed annually, or $300 monthly. Scrunch AI review.
3. Profound
What it monitors: up to 10 engines on Enterprise, citation share and answer-level analytics, plus Prompt Volumes, a dataset of real query demand.
What it does about it: Profound sells marketing agents for AEO, content, demand and PR. Those come with Enterprise, which starts around $40k a year.
Price: Starter at $99/mo annual is ChatGPT only, with 50 prompts. Growth at $399/mo annual covers 3 engines. For monitoring a brand across the engines customers actually use, you're realistically looking at Growth or Enterprise. Profound review.
4. BrandWell
BrandWell now calls itself growth automation software. The product family includes RankWell for AI SEO content writing, SocialStreams for social listening, TrafficID for visitor identification, outreach and link-building tools, and Visibility. The Visibility page tracks brand mentions, citations and tracked AI answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, next to Google rankings and search performance.
Two details matter for a buyer. First, Visibility isn't sold on its own. In BrandWell's words, "Every RankWell plan includes it." RankWell Essentials is $249/mo with 25 articles a month, Growth is $499/mo with 50, and Scale is $999/mo with 100. So the cheapest way to get BrandWell's AI monitoring is $249 a month, bundled with a content writer.
Second, tracked queries run "through the configured provider," and results capture the answer returned at the time of the check. The page doesn't say it reads the live chat interfaces.
Our read: besides Promptwatch, BrandWell is the only tool here that pairs monitoring with publishing at self-serve prices. If article volume is the goal, 25 articles for $249 is more output than the five on Promptwatch Essential. What BrandWell doesn't publish is AI crawler logs or conversion tracking for AI-referred visitors. TrafficID identifies visitors for outbound sales, which is a different job. So it can write plenty, but it can't show you whether an engine read the page or whether the traffic bought anything, and that measurement is what tells you which articles were worth writing.
5. Otterly.AI and Peec AI
Both are monitoring tools, and decent ones for that job. Otterly.AI starts at $29/mo ($25 annual) for 15 prompts across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, with Gemini, Claude and AI Mode as paid add-ons, and its GEO audit grades 25+ on-page factors. Peec AI starts at $95/mo for 50 prompts on 3 models with unlimited seats, and keeps screenshot audit trails of its measurements.
Our catalog lists both as monitoring only, with no published crawler logs, no AI-referred conversion tracking and no content agents. If your team will handle every correction by hand and only needs the alarm, either one works.
A bad answer, start to finish
Here's how the difference plays out. Say Gemini starts describing your product with a feature you retired last year.
With a monitor, you get the alert and a sentiment dip. Somebody then has to work out which page Gemini is reading, write a replacement, publish it, and keep checking until the answer changes.
With Promptwatch, the citation view shows which page or thread the answer leaned on. A Content Agent drafts a current page for your review, and it publishes to your CMS once approved. On Professional and above, Agent Analytics shows when the crawlers fetched it. Prompt trends then show whether the answer moved, and you don't have to rerun the check by hand.
Picking one
If brand narrative is a PR problem and the budget is large, Profound Enterprise and Scrunch's serving layer are both serious options. If you need many SEO articles and want visibility included, BrandWell at $249 is a reasonable bundle. If you want to find the bad answer, trace it to its source, publish the fix and confirm the crawler read it, Promptwatch does the whole sequence, from $95/mo, or $245/mo once you want crawler logs.
See where all of them land on our ranked list.
