Is ChatSEO Worth It?

ChatSEO publishes into WordPress after you approve. That is an actor. GEO is still an agent name, not a visibility loop. Credits from 28 August 2026.

Agentic, here, means the next step happens in software, not in another spreadsheet. ChatSEO does act: it writes and can publish to WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow once you click yes. That is more agent than a monitoring-only tracker. It is still a Google SEO actor. The GEO line on the pricing page is one of twelve agents, not a loop that checks ChatGPT, logs the bot, and attributes the visit. Promptwatch is the loop we rank for that.

Worth it if you wanted an employee on Search Console. Not worth it if you thought publish-to-CMS equaled AI-search ops.

What actually acts

Founders: Nicholas Dulait, Paul Vengeons, Léo Leducq. Product chat on GSC. Read-only Search Console, per FAQ. CMS path is the write actor. Pro adds GA and MCP (40 tools in llms.txt) so Claude or Cursor can call the same SEO jobs. FAQ also says today you apply actions yourself, and later they want a more proactive agent. That is their roadmap sentence, not a shipped crawler product.

Twelve agents including GEO (get cited by AI) and NinjaLinking. Keyword research through local SEO sit in the same list. features.md has no prompt-tracking chapter. The actor you pay for is analysis plus on-page plus optional publish.

Homepage demo copy: rewrite a title and H1 in the CMS after you approve. That is a real Unified-Action-shaped flow for Google. It is not Unified Actions over live AI visibility data.

Credits are the meter, and they argue with themselves

Fetched 28 August 2026. HT euros, same amounts in USD, annual -20%, Stripe, 24-hour refund.

Starter from €29: 100 credits, 1 site. Pro from €49: 200 credits, 3 sites, 3 seats, GA, MCP/API. Ranker from €79: 400 credits, 10 sites, 5 seats, onboarding call. Credit add-ons in +50 / +€10 steps.

Free: 10 prompts then 3/day (40/month) versus FAQ 5 prompts. 1 credit = 1 message versus variable task cost. Homepage replaces the stack versus FAQ does not replace tools. Internal reviews page versus live Ranker from €79. The actor is cheap. The meter is messy. Screenshot.

Rollover up to one extra month of credits. Swap sites anytime. Useful if you run a few properties. Still a message/credit budget, not a prompt-tracking budget.

Vendor proof: 10,000+ owners, 130,000+ analyses, GSC lifts (Tabary x3, BRD 225/day, Hyatt +46%), 4.9/5 on their hub. Logo row. We do not treat those as agent-loop SLAs.

Rank against Promptwatch's actors

Promptwatch Content Agents plan, write, and publish to Webflow or Framer with a review inbox. ChatSEO already lists WordPress. If your CMS is WordPress and you only needed on-page Google fixes, ChatSEO's actor is closer to the CMS you have. If you needed the actor to close a crawl-to-citation path, Promptwatch Agent Analytics is the published product. ChatSEO does not list that.

Promptwatch Agent Chat sits on visibility data. ChatSEO chat sits on GSC (and GA on Pro). Different databases.

Explore $0 (10 ChatGPT prompts). Essential $95 (tracking, citations, visitor events, 5 AEO articles). Professional $245 (25M crawler logs, 15 articles). Agency from $199. G2 4.7/5. 1,840-plus customers. Amsterdam, April 2025. No $29 Promptwatch plan to pair with ChatSEO's €29.

When the GSC actor is worth it

Yes: you want software to propose the next Google fix and push it to WordPress after approval. You will watch credits. You will not pretend the GEO agent is a monitor.

No: you wanted agents that monitor AI answers, optimize from citation gaps, and publish GEO pieces against that data. That is Promptwatch. ChatSEO's own FAQ still puts you in control of applying actions. Fine for Google. Incomplete for agentic GEO.

Pay Starter to try the publish path. Pay Promptwatch Professional when crawler logs are the actor you were missing. Do not swap them because both can touch a CMS.
