Mentionnable vs Promptwatch: features, pricing and who should pick which (2026)
Mentionnable vs Promptwatch compared on engines, prompts, crawler logs, content publishing and pricing, with a clear verdict on which fits which team.
A note on the name before anything else: the tool most people type as "Mentionnable" is Mentionable (mentionable.ai), a French-built GEO tracker. We use that spelling in the rest of this comparison. Both products answer the same starting question, "is my brand recommended by AI engines?", and then diverge on what they do next.
The short version: Mentionable is a good, lower-priced daily tracker with a useful draft-the-missing-page workflow. Promptwatch is a broader platform that adds crawler logs, visitor analytics and publishing, at a higher entry price. Which is right depends on whether monitoring is the job or the first step of it.
Facts below come from vendor pages read in October 2026 and the Promptwatch fact sheet dated 28 October 2026.
What each product is
Mentionable runs your market's prompts daily across seven AI engines (the site names ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Copilot and Claude among them). It records which competitors are recommended in your place, which domains the engines reuse as sources, and the hidden fan-out queries ChatGPT and Perplexity run before answering. When no engine cites you on a prompt, it reads the pages that are cited and drafts yours in the same format, for you to review and publish. It also offers an MCP server on higher plans, GA4 traffic analytics, and email alerts and digests.
Promptwatch is an AI search visibility and GEO platform. It monitors the live-search platforms in the real interface (ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI) plus the coding agents Codex and Claude Code, and tracks other models via API, including Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok. Beyond monitoring it has citation analytics, real-time IP-verified AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), visitor analytics with conversions, an Action Board, Agent Chat and content tools that publish to WordPress, Webflow and Framer.

Where Mentionable is the better pick
- Price at the entry. 79 EUR a month for seven engines and 115 prompts, with unlimited team members, is a good deal for a European team that needs daily tracking and little else.
- Per-gap drafting. The workflow of reading the cited pages and drafting yours in that format is practical, and it closes a loop at a low price.
- Euro pricing and French roots. For teams that want a European vendor with euro invoices, it is an obvious option.
- Credit transparency. Plans list scan credits clearly, though Reddit engagement, page audits and generated pages draw from the same credits.
Its limits, per its own published pages: no crawler logs, no visitor analytics tying AI-referred sessions to conversions, no CMS publishing, and MCP only from the Pro plan.
Where Promptwatch is the better pick
- Diagnosis. If you need to know why you are invisible, crawler logs show whether GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others can fetch your pages, with errors and a citation rate per page.
- Proof of traffic. Visitor analytics attribute AI-referred visits and conversions, which is what justifies spend internally.
- Action. The Action Board produces a prioritized list. The Content Agent plans, writes and publishes on a schedule, and Content Refresh suggests updates to existing pages. Content Agent starts on Business ($579).
- Depth of citations. Page- and domain-level analytics, Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn reports, offsite mentions and per-page trend data.
- Agencies. Unlimited projects, unlimited pitch projects and unlimited prompts on every agency plan.
Its limits: it costs more at the entry point, Essential has no crawler logs (they start on Professional at $245), and the free Explore plan covers only ChatGPT.
Who should pick which
A small European team that wants daily tracking in euros, cheaply: Mentionable Growth. Add other tools for crawl and traffic data if you need them.
A team that wants to measure, diagnose and fix in one workspace: Promptwatch. Start on Essential, or Professional once crawler logs matter.
An agency: compare Mentionable Agency (299 EUR, 385 prompts, unlimited client projects, white-label reports) with Promptwatch's agency ladder. If you need crawler logs and visitor analytics for client reporting, the second is the stronger fit.
Someone unsure: run the same ten prompts on both. Mentionable's Growth plan has a free trial with no card, and Promptwatch has a free Explore plan.
Caveats on both
Neither tool can promise that an engine recommends you. Both show where you stand, and what you do about it is still work. Prices change, so check each vendor's live page before buying. If you are weighing other options as well, AthenaHQ is the enterprise-priced alternative at $295 a month for Starter, and Ceyo is the agency-oriented one from $39 a month billed yearly.
