Rankability vs AirOps 2026: A Packaged Scheduler or a Workflow Kit?

Rankability ships a fixed drafting schedule with human sign-off and daily AI tracking on 11 platforms. AirOps hands you a workflow builder to design your own pipeline. Which one acts more, and what neither can see.

Quick verdict: These two automate content in opposite ways. Rankability gives you a finished product: approve topics, set a cadence, and drafts arrive in WordPress, Webflow or a GitHub pull request for someone to sign off. AirOps gives you parts, meaning a workflow builder, brand kits and knowledge bases, so you can build whatever pipeline you want, including the publishing step. Rankability is easier to price and tracks far more AI platforms at the entry level. AirOps goes further for teams willing to engineer it. Neither publishes crawler logs or AI-referred conversions, and that gap decides our final pick.

We read Rankability's pricing, Automate and Tracker pages on 28 October 2026. AirOps facts come only from our catalog entry, based on its pricing page read 24 October 2026.

How each one acts

Rankability's Automate starts from Research. You approve topics (or add manual fallback ones), choose a daily, weekly or monthly cadence and a destination, and the drafts appear there. Knowledge monitoring watches the client's approved source pages and holds updates for review when something changes. Serena, the built-in assistant, suggests what to work on and starts supported workflows after approval. By default nothing publishes without a person.

AirOps describes itself as a platform for AI search strategy and content operations that combines agents, data, brand governance and expertise to research, publish and refresh content. In practice that means a visual workflow builder for multi-step LLM pipelines, bulk generation with guardrails, schema and structured-data injection, and CMS integrations for publishing. Brand kits and knowledge bases keep output on voice. You decide how much of the pipeline runs unattended, which is the appeal and also the work.

So Rankability acts within fixed rails you can't easily change. AirOps acts however you wire it. An agency with ten similar clients will probably prefer the rails. An in-house team with an unusual publishing process may need the kit.

What you can predict about cost

Rankability prices are public. Starter is $97 a month, Agency $297 and Agency Pro $497, with annual billing at ten monthly payments. Allowances are fixed: 20, 80 or 160 content projects and 100, 300 or 500 tracked AI queries a month, shared across unlimited client workspaces and seats. Paid plans have a 7-day trial that needs a card.

AirOps meters work in tasks. Solo includes 35,000 tasks and a single user, with extra Solo tasks at $0.025 each. Pro includes 100,000 tasks and unlimited seats. Enterprise is custom. The pricing page we read did not show dollar prices for Solo or Pro, so we can't compare entry costs directly. Its FAQ describes a 14-day trial with Scale plan features.

How many tasks a given article uses depends on the workflow you build, so forecasting AirOps spend takes a test run. Rankability's content project count is easier to plan against.

AI visibility at the low end

Rankability's Tracker checks each saved query daily on 11 platforms on every plan: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI. It reports mentions, citations and sentiment, compares competitors, and shares results through a read-only client portal.

AirOps Solo's insights cover ChatGPT only. Pro extends insights to seven or more answer engines. Those insights look across onsite, offsite, social and community opportunities, which is a planning view more than a daily answer tracker.

If a client wants to see Claude or Copilot answers on a small budget, Rankability covers that and AirOps Solo doesn't.

What neither one sees

Rankability's AI crawler check uses robots.txt evidence, and its own audit page says that does not prove a platform cited the page. Our AirOps listing documents no AI crawler logs. Neither publishes a visitor script that attributes AI-referred sessions to conversions. Rankability also lists no prompt search volumes or query fan-outs for its tracked queries.

For a content operation that is a blind spot. You can produce pages on a schedule, but you can't tell whether GPTBot or PerplexityBot fetched them, or whether the resulting citations sent anyone who bought.

Who should pick which

Pick Rankability if you are an agency that wants one workspace for drafts, audits, Google rankings and AI tracking, with predictable allowances and sign-off on every page.

Pick AirOps if you have someone who enjoys building pipelines and you need a publishing workflow no packaged tool offers.

Our recommendation

Both tools produce content. Neither can grade it. Promptwatch can. Agent Analytics logs IP-verified crawler visits with a crawl-to-citation path from Professional ($245 a month), and visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions. Its Content Agent, on Business ($579) and Enterprise, then plans and publishes to WordPress, Webflow or Framer against the gaps that data exposes, through a review inbox or hands-off with a quality check. Whichever producer you keep, measure the results in Promptwatch (facts from its llms.txt, re-checked 28 October 2026).
