Rankability vs Outrank 2026: Sign-Off Drafts or Autopilot Publishing?
Outrank writes and publishes 30 articles a month on autopilot for one flat price. Rankability schedules drafts for review and tracks AI answers on 11 platforms. Which one acts more, and which one can tell you whether it worked.
Quick verdict: Outrank acts more. It researches keywords, writes, and publishes to your CMS on a schedule without waiting for anyone. Rankability drafts on a schedule too, but it stops at a review step by default, and in exchange it tracks AI answers daily on 11 platforms and covers audits and Google rankings. Outrank publishes nothing about AI search visibility. So one tool ships blind and the other watches but waits for a person. Neither shows crawler hits or conversions.

A Rankability content project and an Outrank article aren't the same unit. A project covers research, brief, outline, an AI-assisted draft or refresh, optimization guidance and export, with two AI revisions. An Outrank article is a finished, published post.
How much each one does on its own
Outrank is built for hands-off output. It runs its own keyword research with live search volume and difficulty data and chat-based brainstorming, then writes, adds on-brand AI images and embedded YouTube videos, and publishes. It works in 150+ languages and offers volume discounts for 2 to 25+ sites. A backlink exchange network with automatically verified placements is included in the base plan. Trial articles carry an Outrank watermark until you subscribe.
Rankability splits the work. Automate queues approved Research topics on a daily, weekly or monthly cadence and delivers drafts. Knowledge monitoring flags changes on a client's approved source pages and holds the update for review. Serena suggests the next job and starts it after approval. Each gate is deliberate, and Rankability's Create FAQ says content isn't published automatically by default.
For agentic scoring that puts Outrank ahead on execution. For agency work, where a client may need to approve every page, Rankability's gates are often the point.
Who can see whether it worked
Here the order flips. Rankability's Tracker checks saved AI queries every day for mentions, citations and sentiment on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Brave AI, DeepSeek and Meta AI, with competitor comparisons. It also tracks Google rankings weekly to the top 30.
Outrank publishes no prompt tracking across AI engines, no citation analytics, no AI crawler logs and no visitor conversions. You can ship 30 articles a month and have no view inside the product of whether any of them get cited.
Rankability doesn't close the loop either. Its crawler check reads robots.txt, which its own audit page says does not prove a platform cited the page, and it publishes no visitor script of its own for AI-referred conversions.
For your own agents
Outrank documents a REST API, webhooks and an official CLI built for coding agents like Claude Code and Cursor. It has no MCP server. Rankability includes API and MCP access on every plan, which makes it the easier one to plug into an MCP-based agent setup.
Who should pick which
Pick Outrank if you want a steady flow of published SEO articles for a flat price, you publish to Framer, Shopify or Ghost, and you have measurement covered elsewhere.
Pick Rankability if you are an agency that needs client sign-off, Google and AI tracking in one report, and audits alongside the content.
