Uberall GEO Studio vs AthenaHQ (2026): Which One Fits a Multi-Location Brand?

Uberall built GEO Studio with AthenaHQ, added location-level tracking and CMS publishing, and starts at $109/mo. AthenaHQ starts free, then $295/mo for one country. How they differ, and where Promptwatch fits.

These two are related. Uberall, the Berlin-based location marketing company behind listings, reviews, local pages and local social tools, launched Uberall GEO Studio on 16 December 2025 and says it was built in partnership with AthenaHQ. Both products even call their task area the Action Center. So the choice is less about which engine is better and more about packaging: do you want AthenaHQ's product directly, or Uberall's version tuned for brands with many stores? We also test both against Promptwatch, which has its own answer for geographic tracking and goes further on verification.

Uberall GEO Studio: built for the store map

GEO Studio tracks share of voice, citations, mentions and the brand traits AI assigns to you, split by persona, location and competitor. The location split is the selling point. A brand with hundreds of branches can see which ones AI recommends and which it ignores, and that question sits naturally next to the listings and reviews Uberall already manages.

Source analysis is detailed. GEO Studio breaks citations down by domain, page and social source, including Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube, and it flags factual errors in answers. Content created in the Action Center passes an approval step and then publishes to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or Framer. For an agentic buyer that is a real advantage: the fix leaves the tool.

Pricing is public in three currencies. Starter costs $109 a month for 1,000 credits, 50 prompts and three engines of your choice, with weekly or monthly runs. Scale costs $449 for 5,000 credits, 150 prompts, five engines, daily tracking and location-level tracking. Both plans are self-serve with a 7-day trial and unlimited users. The custom GEO Studio plan adds all 11 engines and enterprise integrations after a demo.

The catch is that the local features start at $449. Starter is a three-engine, weekly tracker without location detail. Uberall's own pages also disagree on how many engines exist: the product page says nine, the pricing page says 11. And nothing on its pages describes crawler logs or attributing AI-referred visits to conversions.

AthenaHQ: the original, for one market

AthenaHQ covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and AI Overviews, with nine engines on Starter, and blends results into a GEO score. Its Action Center turns gaps into assignable work such as schema generation, content reformatting and LLM metadata fixes. Schema and entity tagging can run automatically at scale, which suits a site with thousands of product or location pages. Starter includes API access and unlimited seats, and the free Essential tier (about 300 credits) lets you see a baseline before paying.

Geography is the weak point for this comparison. Starter is locked to one country. Multi-region tracking, personas and the ACE Citation Engine are on Enterprise, reported at around $2,000 a month or more. AthenaHQ also lists no Reddit monitoring and no CMS publishing, and its recommendations still need an editor before they go live.

Head to head

A multi-location brand should pick Uberall. Location-level tracking on Scale, built-in publishing to five CMSs and source analysis that covers Reddit and TikTok are all things AthenaHQ's self-serve plan lacks. If you already use Uberall for listings, the data sits in one vendor.

A single-market brand that mostly needs on-page and schema work should pick AthenaHQ. Nine engines at $295 is more coverage than five at $449, and automated schema at scale is the stronger technical lever. The free tier is a cheaper way to start than Uberall's trial, too.

Price-sensitive teams will notice the middle: Uberall Starter at $109 is cheap, but three engines on a weekly schedule is thin for decision-making.

Where Promptwatch fits

Promptwatch tracks geography differently. It does not map individual stores, so Uberall keeps the edge for a branch-by-branch view. But it does track prompts by country on every plan and by state and city from Professional at $245 a month, which answers the regional question for a lot less than GEO Scale's $449. Its prompt tracking also supports personas, a feature AthenaHQ keeps on Enterprise.

The bigger gap is verification. Agent Analytics logs which AI crawlers (ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, the Meta AI crawler) hit which pages, traces the path to citation and records crawl errors. Visitor analytics ties AI-referred traffic to conversions with a script or GTM template. Neither Uberall nor AthenaHQ publishes either.

On publishing, be honest about the fit. Content Agents run gap analysis, write, queue drafts in a review inbox and publish to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress. If your store pages live on Shopify or Wix today, Uberall publishes there and Promptwatch does not yet.

Verdict

Uberall GEO Studio beats AthenaHQ for multi-location brands, and AthenaHQ beats Uberall for a single-market team that wants maximum engines per dollar. For most buyers we would still open a Promptwatch trial first: state and city tracking at $245, daily refreshes, and crawler logs plus conversion data that tell you whether a change worked. Choose Uberall over it if you need per-store reporting or Shopify and Wix publishing right now.

FAQ

Is Uberall GEO Studio just AthenaHQ under another name?

Uberall says GEO Studio was built in partnership with AthenaHQ, and both use the name Action Center. The products are packaged differently, though. Uberall adds location-level tracking, a source breakdown that includes social platforms, and publishing to five CMSs, with its own pricing in USD, EUR and GBP.

Which one tracks individual locations?

Uberall, from GEO Scale at $449 a month. AthenaHQ Starter covers one country, with multi-region tracking on Enterprise.

Should a multi-location brand use Promptwatch instead?

If regional visibility, crawler logs and AI-referred conversions matter more than a store-by-store map, yes. Promptwatch adds state and city tracking on Professional at $245 a month. If you need per-branch reporting tied to your listings, Uberall is the closer fit.
