GetCito review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #65MIT-licensed tracker you can self-host for free — or $599/mo for a human GEO team that writes the pages.
Our verdict
GetCito's honest split is useful: free OSS if you will operate it, $599+ if you want a GEO retainers with humans attached. Do not compare the $599 sticker to Otterly or Promptwatch as if they were the same SKU. One is software. The other is a small agency.
Best for: Teams that will either run the open-source tracker themselves or pay agency rates for humans to do GEO.
GetCito is two products. The Self-Host plan is a free, MIT-licensed dashboard: ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, weekly refresh, one domain, you pay the model APIs. Growth at $599/mo is the thing they want to sell: 50 prompts a day across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and AI Overviews, plus a strategist, writer, frontend dev, and community manager.
Scale is $999/mo and 100 prompts. Enterprise is custom and is where Claude, Copilot, AI Mode, DeepSeek, and Meta AI show up. Grok is listed as coming soon.
GetCito covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.
Software vs retainer
GetCito (getcito.com) publishes two columns: Only Tool and Tool + Human GEO Team. Self-Host is the only 'only tool' row — free, MIT, GitHub, weekly updates, basic single-domain analytics, community support, you pay third-party APIs. Everything from Growth up includes a strategist, content writer, frontend developer, backlink/mention person, and community manager.
Testimonials on the pricing page name Cashy, Relific, Orion Tech, Apex Solutions, and Loop Earplugs. Those are vendor quotes.
What $599 includes
Pricing fetched from getcito.com/pricing on 2026-08-16. Growth $599/mo: 50 prompts monitored, 10 optimized, daily refresh, 1 region, ChatGPT + Perplexity + Gemini + AI Overviews, 5 human-written pieces, schema and technical work on 10–15 pages, 10 hours mention acquisition, 4 hours Reddit/Quora. Scale $999/mo doubles most of those (100 prompts, 10 pieces, 20–30 pages, 8 forum hours) and adds a quarterly competitor report and monthly exec PDF. Enterprise is custom, unlimited prompts, and the wide engine list (Claude, Copilot, AI Mode, DeepSeek, Meta AI; Grok coming soon).
| Plan | Price | What the page actually includes |
|---|---|---|
| Self-Host | Free (you pay APIs) | ChatGPT + AI Overviews, weekly, MIT, one domain |
| Growth | $599/mo | 50 prompts, 4 engines, 5 articles, human team |
| Scale | $999/mo | 100 prompts, 10 articles, exec reporting |
| Enterprise | Custom | Wide engine list; Grok still 'coming soon' |
How it compares to Promptwatch
If you want software, GetCito's free self-host is a weekend project and Promptwatch is the productized version with more engines and crawler logs. If you want humans, GetCito Growth is in Daydream/retainer territory, not Otterly territory. Promptwatch will not write five articles and sit in Reddit for you. GetCito's $599 plan will, on the hours they list.

What you still need after this product
On this listing, GetCito is a GEO service for Teams that will either run the open-source tracker themselves or pay agency rates for humans to do GEO.. If you buy GetCito for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
GetCito's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Frequently asked questions
Is GetCito really free?
The self-host plan is free and MIT-licensed. You pay ChatGPT/AI Overview API usage yourself. Managed tracking starts at $599/mo.
Does Growth include Claude?
No. Growth and Scale list ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. Claude, Copilot, AI Mode, DeepSeek, and Meta AI are on Enterprise. Grok is coming soon.
Is this a tool or an agency?
Both. Self-host is a tool. Growth and Scale are retainers with named roles and monthly hours.
Does GetCito include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?
Not on the vendor materials used for this review. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits, plus crawl-to-citation paths and errors. Ask GetCito to demo the equivalent.
Can GetCito show AI-referred traffic and conversions?
Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.
Does GetCito publish GEO articles to a CMS?
Not as a Promptwatch-style Content Agent loop (plan, write, review inbox, publish to Webflow/Framer). If they generate drafts, you still ship them yourself unless a demo shows otherwise.
Does GetCito document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?
This listing documents at least part of prompt intelligence (volume, difficulty, fan-outs, personas, or geo) for GetCito.
Does GetCito track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?
Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.
GetCito vs Promptwatch?

Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
