Jasper review: pricing, features & alternatives

Ranked #9

The marketing AI writer with brand voice, now selling GEO monitoring on the enterprise plan.

Jasper alternatives

Our verdict

Jasper is still a brand-voice writer first. Pro at $59–69/seat/mo is a fair price for Canvas plus two Brand Voices if a marketing team already lives in that workflow. The GEO pitch (citation monitoring plus governed drafts for ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot) is real on the marketing site and gated behind custom Business pricing. Do not buy Pro expecting a tracker. Do not buy Business for GEO without pricing a dedicated visibility tool next to it.

Best for: Marketing teams that need on-brand drafts at volume and will treat GEO as a Business-plan add-on, not the reason to buy Pro.

Jasper is a marketing content platform: Brand Voice, Canvas, and a library of agents that draft campaigns, blogs, and ads against your style guide. It is not a general chatbot with a coat of paint.

In 2026 it also sells GEO and AI Optimization: citation-rate monitoring across engines it names as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot, plus agents that draft governed content from those gaps. That GEO layer lives on Business, not on the self-serve Pro seat.

Jasper covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.

What you actually buy on Pro

Jasper's public pricing page lists two plans. Pro is $69 per seat per month, or $59 on yearly billing, and includes one seat, Canvas, core marketing agents, two Brand Voices, five Knowledge assets, and three Audiences. Generation is unlimited under a fair-use policy. A 7-day trial exists; there is no free tier.

That is a writing and campaign workspace. Brand Voice is why teams stay: you feed it existing posts and it keeps output closer to house style than a raw ChatGPT prompt. G2 sat at 4.7/5 from 1,270 reviews as of June 2026, with Brand Voice the recurring compliment and price the recurring complaint.

Where GEO actually lives

Jasper's GEO page promises brand presence, citation rate, and sentiment across major AI answer engines, and names ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. Agents can turn those gaps into brand-governed drafts. The same pricing page puts GEO agents, translations, deep research, Jasper Grid, the custom-agent builder, and API access on Business, which is custom-priced and starts with a 12-month commitment.

If you need daily multi-engine citation logs, crawler traffic, or page-level source tracking, Jasper has not published those limits the way dedicated GEO tools have. Treat the GEO suite as an enterprise content add-on, then keep a tracker if measurement is the job.

PlanWhat you get
Pro ($59–69/seat/mo)1 seat, Canvas, core agents, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences
Business (custom)GEO agents, Grid, custom agents, unlimited IQ, API, admin/SSO, dedicated support

Who should buy it

In-house marketing teams that already produce a lot of on-brand copy and want one workspace for briefs, drafts, and campaign variants. Run the 7-day Pro trial before talking to sales.

Skip it if you came for AI-search measurement. Buy a tracker, or pair Jasper's writer with one. Solo operators who only need drafts will spend less on a frontier-model chat subscription.

What this listing documents

Every row below is a capability we already listed for Jasper. It is the published feature set for this page, not a guess at an unpublished demo. Compare it with the Promptwatch checklist that follows.

What you still need after this product

On this listing, Jasper is a Content optimization for Marketing teams that need on-brand drafts at volume and will treat GEO as a Business-plan add-on, not the reason to buy Pro.. What we sourced here: Brand Voice, Knowledge assets, and Audiences (Jasper IQ); Canvas workspace for campaign drafting; Marketing agents on Pro; GEO, translation, and deep-research agents on Business; Jasper Grid, custom agent builder, and API on Business; That GEO layer lives on Business, not on the self-serve Pro seat.

After you generate pages in Jasper, you still need a visibility platform to see whether models cite those pages, which URLs and third-party sources they cite, whether AI crawlers can fetch them, and whether referred visits convert. Promptwatch is built for that loop. Gaps vs this listing: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans.

What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not

Jasper is on this directory because buyers compare writers with AI-search software. Unless a bullet on this page documents prompt replay, it is a content or schema product. Promptwatch is the visibility stack: prompts, citations, crawler logs, AI-referred visits, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer.

The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Key features

  • Brand Voice, Knowledge assets, and Audiences (Jasper IQ)
  • Canvas workspace for campaign drafting
  • Marketing agents on Pro; GEO, translation, and deep-research agents on Business
  • Jasper Grid, custom agent builder, and API on Business
  • That GEO layer lives on Business, not on the self-serve Pro seat
Strengths
  • Brand Voice is the feature reviewers actually praise: train on samples and keep a team on-tone
  • G2 4.7/5 across 1,270 reviews (checked mid-2026)
  • Published Pro price and a 7-day trial, unlike most enterprise writers
  • GEO product exists if you are already standardized on Jasper for content
Limitations
  • Pro is one seat at $69/mo monthly or $59/mo annual; more seats means a Business sales call
  • GEO agents, Grid, API, and unlimited Brand Voices are Business-only with no published price
  • No permanent free plan; the trial needs a card
  • Self-serve Jasper does not replace a dedicated visibility tracker: engine coverage and citation depth are not documented the way Profound or Promptwatch document them
  • For a single writer who just needs drafts, ChatGPT or Claude is cheaper
  • No published AI crawler-log product (Agent Analytics): you cannot see ChatGPTBot/ClaudeBot/PerplexityBot hits, crawl-to-citation paths, or bot errors
  • No published visitor analytics that attribute AI-referred traffic to conversions (script or GTM)
  • Not an AI-answer visibility platform: it does not replace prompt tracking, citation analytics, or crawler logs

Frequently asked questions

Does Jasper track AI search visibility?

It sells a GEO product that monitors citation rate and sentiment and names ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. Those GEO agents sit on Business, not on the $59–69 Pro seat. Jasper has not published engine counts, refresh cadence, or prompt caps the way dedicated trackers do.

How many seats do I get on Pro?

One. Extra seats and team governance are a Business conversation.

Is Jasper worth it just as a writer?

Yes, if Brand Voice and Canvas are the bottleneck for a marketing team. No, if you only need occasional drafts: a ChatGPT or Claude subscription covers that for less.

Does Jasper include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?

Not on the vendor materials used for this review. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits, plus crawl-to-citation paths and errors. Ask Jasper to demo the equivalent.

Can Jasper show AI-referred traffic and conversions?

Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.

Does Jasper document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch prompts carry search volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, topics, personas, and country, state, or city targeting.

Does Jasper track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.

Jasper vs Promptwatch?

Jasper is a writer or optimizer on this listing; Promptwatch is the visibility platform (prompts, citations, crawler logs, visits, Content Agents). Use Jasper to produce pages. Use Promptwatch to see whether models cite them and whether visits convert.
