ShownInAI review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #214Small AI visibility scan for SaaS that writes three fix pages a month, $9 for the first month then $29/mo.
Our verdict
ShownInAI is a cheap, opinionated starting point for SaaS founders: ten discovery prompts, a fix list and three drafted pages a month for $29. As measurement it is very thin, with one named AI provider and a two-week cadence, and the site contradicts itself on cadence and API access. Its OtterlyAI comparison page and '39 of 50 brands' statistic are vendor material. Once the first pages are live, Promptwatch tracks the same buyer prompts daily across engines, and its citation analytics show which pages, Reddit threads and YouTube videos the models cite, so you can see whether the new comparison page is being picked up.
Best for: Early-stage SaaS founders who want a cheap first read on whether AI names them and a few drafted pages to act on.
ShownInAI (showninai.com), built by Aurumaxis Labs Limited, is aimed at SaaS companies and the agencies that serve them. It infers your category and rivals from your domain, writes 10 unbranded buyer prompts ('best X for Y', 'X alternatives', 'X vs Y', 'tools like X'), runs them against AI answers with web search on, and reports whether you are named, your position, who is named instead and which sources are cited, such as G2, Capterra, Reddit and roundups. Each month it writes three publish-ready pages aimed at the biggest gaps: comparison pages, alternatives pages and listing kits. The only AI provider named on its security page is OpenAI, via the API.
Pricing read on showninai.com/pricing on 20 October 2026: Starter costs $9 for the first month, then $29/mo, with tracking every 14 days, email alerts and 3 new pages a month. One-off options are a $49 AI Visibility Report and a $99 Local Report, and its llms.txt lists a done-for-you $299 GEO audit. ShownInAI offers a refund within 7 days and promises a full refund if AI answers do not name you within 60 days. There is no free plan.

Coverage questions
ShownInAI's pages talk about 'AI answers' and 'engines' without listing them. Its security page says scans send prompts to OpenAI through its API, and its API docs sample shows a 'chatgpt' engine. Ask which engines are included before relying on it for anything beyond ChatGPT.

If you buy ShownInAI for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
ShownInAI's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.
