Is CrowdReply Worth It?
CrowdReply acts by posting Reddit comments from persona accounts. Promptwatch acts on content sites with Content Agents and crawler logs. Worth it depends which loop you need.
Agentic, on this site, means the tool does the next step after the score. CrowdReply can draft or accept copy and place comments and threads through community profiles. Promptwatch can draft a GEO article, publish it to Webflow or Framer, and read whether ChatGPTBot came back. Worth it is not a G2 question. It is a loop question.
What CrowdReply actually automates
CrowdReply is built as tracking plus placement, not generic B2B reporting. Three layers on one login: AI search tracking (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude named on the homepage FAQ), social listening (Reddit on Starter; Reddit, Quora, Facebook from Growth), and an Engagement Engine that posts via "persona-based established community accounts." Credits buy comments, replies, threads, and upvote orders.
That is action on Reddit. It is not site-wide GEO publishing. Quora and Facebook engagement are listed as coming soon. The 7-day trial covers tracking and listening. It excludes the engine that actually posts. If legal will not approve third-party accounts speaking as community members, the loop never starts.
CrowdReply's pricing page (26 August 2026) links to G2 and displays 4.9. "Trusted by 5,000+ brands" is vendor copy. Logos include Omio, Instantly, NP Digital, Facetune, Wodify, Creatio, Kamatera, Stripo. Testimonials (Marcus A, Michal H, Adrina W, Patrick / Optimal Bet) include a "$1M extra revenue" claim we did not audit. Vendor-reported, not independent.
Pricing you will actually pay
crowdreply.io/pricing (USD, 30-day money-back):
| Plan | Price | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99/mo | 1 brand, 2 seats, 20 prompts, 2 models, Reddit 24h, $50 credits, $10 comment / $25 post |
| Growth | $299/mo | 3 brands, unlimited seats, 75 prompts, 4 models, listening 6h, $200 credits, $8 comment / $20 post |
| Enterprise | from $499/mo | 10 brands, 200 prompts, 7 models, $300 credits, $7 comment / $15 post, dedicated AM |
Starter also lists $15 for a comment with a link. Help center (18 March 2026): credits never expire, top-ups from $200, automod not charged, 75% refund on comment removals within 72 hours. $50 at $10 is five comments unless you top up.
MCP and API sit on every plan. Slack and email alerts exist. The Backlinks Marketplace (40,000+ publishers, 12-month replacement) is a separate buy.
When CrowdReply is worth it
Worth it if your KPI is managed community posts and your next step is a comment in a thread, not a page on your CMS. Growth at $299 is the tier where listening cadence and unit costs improve. MCP on Starter fits teams that already pipeline data out.
Worth it for teams that need placement write-out rather than a mention chart alone. That is the agentic row CrowdReply owns: it acts by posting.
When Promptwatch is worth it instead
Most teams asking "is it worth it?" run content sites, services, or multi-brand B2B. They need citation trends, crawler logs, visitor conversions, and CMS publishing in one stack. That is Promptwatch territory.
Explore is free (10 ChatGPT prompts, one project). Essential is $95/mo with 50 prompts, 6,000 responses, 200K visitor events, citation analytics, and five AEO articles. Professional at $245/mo adds 25M crawler logs and 15 articles. Content Agents publish to Webflow or Framer with a review inbox. Visitor conversions run through a script or GTM. Reddit and YouTube citation views sit on the platform as analytics. G2 is 4.7/5 across 1,840+ brands. Agency Kick-off is $199/mo.
CrowdReply's Reddit loop is useful for community programs. Promptwatch Agent Analytics answers crawl-to-citation path and ties AI referrers to revenue. Different action layers. There is no $29 Promptwatch plan.
Promptwatch also has no published "post from persona accounts" product. If you need both loops, you are buying two SKUs, not picking a winner on G2.
Dual-stack we would actually run
Comms owns Reddit placements on CrowdReply Growth. GEO owns Promptwatch Professional. One KPI PDF from Promptwatch unless comms insists on comment counts in an appendix. Pure content B2B: Promptwatch only. CrowdReply never enters the SOW.
Otterly.AI and Peec AI stay last. Profound is not #1; it is a different agent procurement track.
Verdict
Worth it when the next step is a Reddit comment from CrowdReply's account network and legal already signed. Not worth swapping out Promptwatch for crawler logs, citations, conversions, or Content Agents. Product: promptwatch.com. Directory: /#tools.
FAQ
Does CrowdReply count as agentic here?
Yes for posting. No for CMS GEO. We rank the loop, not the marketing adjective.
Can I try posting on the 7-day trial?
No. Engagement Engine requires a paid plan.
Is Starter cheaper than Essential?
$99 versus $95 is a sticker tie. Five $10 comments eat the credit pack. Essential includes visitor events.
