Wellows vs Azoma 2026: Citation Outreach or a Catalogue Agent

Azoma pushes product data and PDP copy straight into Amazon and Shopify. Wellows finds missing AI citations on the open web and drafts fixes for a person to ship. Which one acts, and on what.

Quick verdict: Azoma acts more. It writes enriched product data and PDP copy directly into Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify, and Shopify. Wellows acts less, stopping at drafts and outreach lists, but it does so for any website and with published prices. They rarely compete for the same budget. A marketplace brand wants Azoma's write path; a brand or agency working on owned-site citations wants Wellows' report, or better, a platform that publishes on the owned site too.

Wellows was checked on wellows.com on 25 October 2026. Azoma facts come from our catalog entry, last checked on azoma.ai on 22 October 2026.

Two different shelves

Azoma calls its category agentic commerce optimisation. Its agents work on product records: they sync data from Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Google Merchant Center, and PIM systems, fill missing attributes, and generate listing copy against approved claims and brand tone. Measurement covers retailer shopping agents (Amazon's Alexa for Shopping, Amazon COSMO, Walmart Sparky, Lazada LazzieChat) alongside ChatGPT and ChatGPT Shopping, Gemini and AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude, Meta AI, and Siri.

Wellows works on citations. It asks your prompts of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, and Gemini, reads every page each engine cites, and scores you on explicit citations (your own pages) and implicit ones (third-party pages that mention you). It does not track retailer agents, Claude, or Copilot.

If your revenue is decided on an Amazon product page, Wellows is watching the wrong surface. If it is decided by which blog posts and review sites ChatGPT quotes, Azoma's catalogue tooling is beside the point.

Where they overlap: third-party sources

Both tools agree that AI answers are shaped by pages you do not own. They respond differently.

Wellows lists cited third-party pages that never mention you, adds contact emails and an outreach template, and separates Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Medium, and Quora from publisher sites. Each cited page that does mention you gets a positive, neutral, or negative label. A person then writes to the editor or joins the thread.

Azoma syndicates content to cited third-party sources and raises Reddit, Quora, and Wikipedia opportunity alerts. It also runs Answer Integrity checks for inaccurate product claims and competitive misrepresentation in AI answers. Priority-scored recommendations go to Slack or Microsoft Teams.

On paper Azoma's version does more of the work itself. Wellows' version gives a human a sharper list.

Who presses publish

This is the question this site cares about most. With Azoma, the agent's output lands in the commerce system without a manual copy and paste step, because the Amazon integration covers both Seller Central and Vendor Central. That is a genuine write path.

With Wellows, every path ends with a person. KIVA's draft goes to WordPress for editing. Content Optimization, still in beta, suggests section changes based on pages already cited for the prompt. Quick Wins ranks what to do. Nothing goes live because Wellows decided it should.

Azoma does not publish to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress, though. For owned-site content it has no publishing path at all, so it does not close the website loop either.

Checking the result

Azoma measures outcomes in SKU-level revenue, which is the right metric for marketplace work. For the website it describes crawler visit monitoring in its Tech GEO module and AI referral traffic through GA4, but our listing found no published CDN connectors, log volumes, or crawl-to-citation path.

Wellows keeps every run in Performance History, so you can compare any two dates and export CSVs for clients. It publishes no crawler logs and no conversion tracking, and its own FAQ admits that rising citations often do not show up as referral traffic.

Buying

Azoma has no public price list, limits, or trial, and our listing notes SOC 2 certification is still in progress. Expect a demo and a quote. Wellows publishes four plans, every feature on every plan, and unlimited projects and seats. A team can be running the same afternoon.

Who should pick which

Azoma is for consumer brands where Amazon and Walmart drive AI-assisted sales and a digital shelf team will own an agent that edits listings.

Wellows is for brands and agencies that need to see which owned and third-party pages AI engines cite, and have people to act on drafts and outreach.

Where Promptwatch fits

Neither tool closes the owned-site loop, and that is the loop most brands need first. Promptwatch does. Its Content Agents publish to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress through a review inbox, with the fully automated agent on Business ($579 a month) and Enterprise. Agent Analytics crawler logs show whether bots fetched the page, visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions, and ChatGPT Shopping tracking is there on Business for commerce brands. A marketplace-heavy brand can still add Azoma for the catalogue without overlap. Start with the plans at promptwatch.com.
