Yoast AI Brand Insights vs Wix AI Visibility Overview (2026): two built-in AI checks, and neither acts

Yoast checks 5 brand questions weekly on 4 engines in a $358.80/yr bundle. Wix tests up to 5 times a month on 3 engines for AI credits. Both report; neither fixes.

If you already pay for Yoast or Wix, you may already own an AI visibility tracker. Yoast AI Brand Insights comes bundled with Yoast SEO AI+. The Wix AI Visibility Overview sits inside Wix Analytics on any Premium site. Both are cheap add-ons to something you bought for other reasons.

The one-sentence difference: Yoast gives you a fixed weekly reading of five questions on four chatbots for any site, while Wix gives you a few on-demand tests on three engines plus a glimpse of AI bot traffic, but only if your site lives on Wix.

On our scale of monitor, recommend, or execute, both are monitors. Neither writes, fixes or publishes anything.

Side by side

Details for both were read on the vendors' product and help pages on 20 October 2026.

How Yoast AI Brand Insights works

Once a week, Yoast asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude up to five brand questions that you write or accept from its suggestions. It removes duplicates and irrelevant results, emails you, and reports an AI Visibility Index out of 100 that blends mentions, ranking, citations and sentiment. You also see Found or Not found per question, cited URLs with root domain, category and impact level, a competitor ranking by mentions out of five, positive sentiment with keyword examples, and a trend view.

It runs in the browser through MyYoast, so it works for any site, not only WordPress. On WordPress, AI+ costs $358.80 a year excluding VAT and also bundles Yoast SEO Premium, WooCommerce SEO and the Local, News and Video SEO plugins. That's good value if you wanted Premium anyway. On Shopify, AI+ is $45 a month, against $19 for the plain Shopify plan.

The limits are firm. Each brand gets one scheduled weekly analysis and Yoast says no extra automatic analyses are available. Each additional brand needs its own subscription. Refunds within a week are refused if more than one analysis has run. And the Shopify comparison table marks real-time writing guidance as included in the $19 plan but not the $45 AI+ plan, which reads like an error on Yoast's side.

How the Wix AI Visibility Overview works

Wix generates questions from your site description, URL and business name, sends them to ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, and scores the share of questions where your site was mentioned or cited. A citation without a mention still counts. Each question shows your position, whether it's branded or non-branded, the sources used and the full answer. You also get competitors by visibility score, top sources and a brand perception answer.

The part we find most useful is the traffic panel. Because Wix hosts the site, it can show sessions from each AI platform and the last time an AI bot crawled the site. For ChatGPT and Perplexity it also charts how often a bot fetched your site after a user query, and which pages it read. That's a small version of crawler-log analysis that most cheap trackers don't have.

The caps are tight. Tests run at most once a day and five times a month, fixed on every Premium plan. Each test costs roughly 20 to 25 AI credits for the default set and up to 50 to 60 at the maximum, and the cost moves with provider pricing. The site owner pays those credits even when a collaborator runs the test. You need at least 50 unique visitors in the last 30 days before any data shows. History keeps only the last five tests.

Who should pick which

Pick Yoast if you're a small business that wants a weekly pulse on how four chatbots describe your brand, and especially if you'd buy Yoast SEO Premium regardless. It works whatever your CMS.

Pick Wix if your site is already on a Wix Premium plan and you want a quick look at mentions plus AI bot visits without adding a tool. The bot panel is the reason to use it.

Neither is a way to grow the channel. Five questions, or five tests a month, can show whether you appear. They can't show which topics you're losing or why.

The Promptwatch option

Promptwatch is the step up from both, and it's the one that acts. Prompt tracking covers search volumes, difficulty scores and query fan-outs, so you choose questions by demand rather than guesswork. Citation analytics goes to page and domain level, including Reddit and YouTube. Agent Analytics extends the idea behind Wix's bot panel to ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with the crawl-to-citation path, on any host.

Then Content Agents draft and publish the pages that fill the gaps, to Webflow, Framer or WordPress, through a review inbox. Visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions.

Essential at $95 a month gives 50 prompts refreshed daily across all tracked LLMs, which is ten times Yoast's weekly five. Professional at $245 adds 25M crawler logs and state and city tracking.

Verdict

Yoast is the better pulse check for most small businesses, and Wix is the better pick only if you're already on Wix and want the bot data. Both report and stop. When you're ready to work the channel, Promptwatch is where we'd go next.

FAQ

Can I buy Yoast AI Brand Insights on its own?

No. It comes with Yoast SEO AI+ at $358.80 a year excluding VAT on WordPress, or $45 a month on Shopify. Each subscription covers one brand.

Why is my Wix AI Visibility Overview empty?

It needs at least 50 unique visitors to your site in the last 30 days. Below that, Wix shows a "Not enough visitors yet" message.

Does either tool track AI crawlers?

Wix shows the last AI bot crawl and, for ChatGPT and Perplexity bots, pages fetched after user queries. Yoast doesn't describe crawler data. Promptwatch's Agent Analytics covers crawler logs on any host: promptwatch.com.
