Ansvisor review: pricing, features & alternatives

Ranked #10

Open-source AI visibility platform from Empler AI. Cloud from $49, but Starter is ChatGPT and Perplexity only, and the sheets disagree on engines, trials, and seats.

AI visibility platformSelf-host MIT; cloud from $49/mo
Ansvisor alternatives

Our verdict

Ansvisor is a real open-source visibility codebase plus a $49/$249 cloud. $49 is ChatGPT and Perplexity, 50 prompts, not Promptwatch Essential at $95 (50 prompts, 6,000 responses, citations, visitor events). $249 Growth sits next to Professional at $245, which still publishes 25M crawler logs and CMS agents to Webflow or Framer. Self-host is free software, not free data collection. Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).

Best for: Teams that want a public GitHub repo or a $49 ChatGPT/Perplexity cloud seat, and will still buy a documented crawler-log plus CMS-publish stack if that is the job.

Ansvisor (ansvisor.com) is an open-source AI search intelligence product: MIT license, GitHub ansvisor/ansvisor, copyright 2026 Empler AI Inc. About page co-founders: Gokhan Geyik and Cihan Geyik. Traffic page: launched 15 May 2026. Self-host with IS_CLOUD=false unlocks features without Stripe; you still bring Supabase, an AI provider, and Cloro (README). Or pay for Ansvisor Cloud. Fetched 2026-08-29.

Cloud cards: Starter $49/mo (1 brand, 50 prompts, ChatGPT and Perplexity), Growth $249/mo (4 brands, 200 prompts, adds Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews), Enterprise from $999/mo. Compare table also lists monthly 'response analyze' 1,000 / 4,500 / 18,000. Homepage, FAQ, and compare table do not agree on trial length, plan names (Pro, Lite), Claude, Grok, or seat counts. Their May 2026 vs Promptwatch page frames Promptwatch as monitoring-only; we still take Promptwatch from promptwatch.com/llms.txt.

Ansvisor covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs with crawl-to-citation, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.

Cloud SKUs and the pages that disagree

ansvisor.com/pricing, 29 August 2026. Starter $49: 1 brand, 50 prompts/month, 100 audits, 10 briefs, ChatGPT and Perplexity, daily tracking, MCP/API, GSC/GA/DataForSEO. Card also says unlimited users and unlimited articles in Agent Chat. Growth $249: 4 brands, 200 prompts, 500 audits, 50 briefs, adds Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, multi-region, Looker Studio, white-label. Enterprise custom from $999: all answer engines, Claude appears here on the compare table, SSO/SAML, priority support. Compare table monthly response analyze: Free/demo 1,000; Starter 4,500; Growth 18,000; Enterprise custom. 14-day trial on the cards. Stripe USD, monthly or annual.

What their Promptwatch comparison gets wrong

ansvisor.com/compare/ansvisor-vs-promptwatch, dated 15 May 2026 by the Ansvisor team. It scores Promptwatch as monitoring and reporting, Ansvisor as action. Promptwatch's published stack still includes Content Agents, Agent Chat, Unified Actions, crawler logs, and visitor conversions. The same marketing table used across Ansvisor pages compares Ahrefs, Semrush, Profound, and Ansvisor, not Promptwatch SKUs. Do not import 'Promptwatch Starter is ChatGPT-only' or 'no free trial' from that page. Explore is free. Essential is $95/mo with a 7-day trial.

What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not document the same way

Ansvisor names crawler behavior behind a site snippet. Promptwatch Agent Analytics is CDN crawler logs (ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, Meta AI) with crawl-to-citation paths. Ansvisor names citations; Reddit and YouTube citation views are Promptwatch's documented depth. Content Agents publish to Webflow or Framer with a review inbox. Ansvisor briefs and Agent Chat articles are not that CMS path on this listing.

Key features

  • Prompt monitoring, generator, query fan-out (llms.txt and README)
  • Citations, mentions, share of voice, competitor benchmarking
  • AI traffic analytics via a tracking snippet (referrals and crawler behavior on the feature page)
  • AI shopping analytics; site audit of 47 weighted AEO/GEO signals (llms.txt)
  • Agent Chat, content briefs, MCP (README: list_brands and get_visibility_summary shipping, more tools landing)
  • Integrations named: GSC, GA, DataForSEO, LLM scrapers, Looker Studio on Growth
  • Cloud Starter: ChatGPT and Perplexity, 50 prompts/day cadence on the card, 10 briefs, 100 audits
  • Cloud Growth: 200 prompts, 50 briefs, 500 audits, white-label and Looker Studio
  • Self-host: Node 20, Yarn, Supabase, at least one AI provider, Cloro for scraping (README)
  • Stripe for cloud; monthly or annual USD
Strengths
  • MIT repo you can inspect; self-host mode documented as ungated
  • Public cloud ladder instead of a quote wall on Starter and Growth
  • Query fan-out, shopping analytics, and a traffic snippet are named product pages
  • MCP and Agent Chat are on the public list, not Enterprise-only on the cards
Limitations
  • Engine lists fight: Growth card omits Claude; FAQ puts Claude on Growth and Enterprise; Grok is on GitHub/homepage, not on the Growth price card
  • Trial copy fights: 14-day Pro or Growth (no Pro SKU) vs Starter or Growth vs a 7-day demo column
  • FAQ still says Lite vs Enterprise, and that teams over 4 people should buy Enterprise, while Starter/Growth cards say unlimited users
  • Starter card says All Features while engines are gated
  • Their vs Promptwatch page (15 May 2026) is competitor copy: monitoring-only Promptwatch, no free trial. Promptwatch Explore is free; Essential has a 7-day trial
  • llms.txt changelog URL points at github.com/aeohub/ansvisor/releases, not ansvisor/ansvisor
  • Crawler analytics on the traffic page is a snippet, not a published CDN crawl-to-citation log product
  • 50x visibility quote (David Henricks, Scale) and homepage 35%/22%/4.3% market stats are vendor-cited
  • BYO LLM keys still listed as planned on the README, not shipped

Frequently asked questions

Is Ansvisor a Promptwatch alternative?

It is a competing visibility platform with a public repo and cheaper Starter cloud. It is not a documented replacement for Promptwatch crawler logs, Reddit/YouTube citation views, or CMS publishing to Webflow/Framer. Their own comparison page is vendor copy from 15 May 2026. Promptwatch paid brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).

Is the cloud really $49 with all engines?

No. The $49 Starter card is ChatGPT and Perplexity, 50 prompts, 1 brand. Broader engines sit on Growth at $249 or Enterprise. Screenshot; the FAQ and cards disagree on Claude.

Is self-host actually free?

The software is MIT. The README still requires Supabase, at least one AI provider, and Cloro for scraping. BYO LLM keys is listed as planned, not done.
