Best platform to monitor and report AI search visibility to clients

The best platform to monitor and report AI search visibility to clients: Promptwatch, AthenaHQ, Scrunch AI and agency-priced alternatives compared on sourced facts.

Monitoring is the easy half of this job. Plenty of tools will run a list of prompts through ChatGPT and show you a chart. The hard half is the second verb in the question: reporting to clients. That means a document a non-specialist can read, branded as yours, delivered on a schedule, with enough evidence behind each number that you can answer "why did that drop?" without opening five other tabs.

This guide ranks platforms on both halves, using only what the vendors publish and what our directory has on file. No platform can promise a client that an AI engine will recommend them. The best you can offer is an honest picture of where they stand and a record of what you did about it.

What a monitor-and-report platform has to do

Before comparing names, it helps to be strict about the requirements.

  • Monitoring that spans engines. Clients ask about ChatGPT first, then whatever they heard about last week. Coverage of Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot matters.
  • A per-client structure. Separate projects, separate prompt sets, and pricing that does not multiply painfully with every new client.
  • Exports a client will open. Branded PDFs, scheduled delivery, and a connector for teams that report in Looker Studio.
  • Evidence for the "why". Citation sources, crawler access and AI-referred visits explain a movement. A score alone does not.
  • Business outcomes. Sooner or later the client asks whether any of this produced a visit or a sale.

1. Promptwatch

Promptwatch is the platform in this list that covers the whole chain from monitoring to the client-facing document, and it is where we would start any evaluation.

On the monitoring side, it runs prompt panels daily per model, country and language, tracking Visibility Score, Share of Voice, Sentiment and Position in Answer. Live-search platforms such as ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI are monitored through the real interface. Models like Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok are tracked via API.

On the reporting side, any dashboard can be exported as a PDF, and PDFs can be scheduled. White-label branding applies to PDF exports and schedules, and the vendor lists a white-label workspace and client portal for agencies without tying them to a named plan, so confirm that before you commit. Custom reports and the Looker Studio connector are included on Professional and on every agency plan. Excel and CSV exports come with a column picker, and Agent Chat can build a PDF report from live data.

The evidence layer is what separates it from trackers. IP-verified AI crawler logs show whether bots such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot can reach a client's pages. Citation analytics go down to page, Reddit and YouTube level. Visitor analytics attribute AI-referred visits and conversions.

Agency self-serve plans are Kick-off at $199 a month, Growth at $399 and Scale at $799, all with unlimited projects, unlimited prompts, 10 seats and every tracked model. Brand plans start with a free Explore tier, then Essential at $95 and Professional at $245. Slack briefings are not available on white-label workspaces.

2. AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ rolls results into a GEO score and turns gaps into actions through an Action Center. Starter is $295 a month on a credit model, where one credit is one AI response, and it covers 11 models and unlimited topics and prompts. The pricing page we read does not describe agency reporting or white-label features, and the credit burn is a known complaint, so it fits a single brand better than a client roster. It also has no published crawler-log product.

3. Scrunch AI

Scrunch AI Core costs $250 a month with 125 prompts, one brand workspace and five user licenses, tracking four LLMs. Reporting is the most common complaint in the reviews we have on file, with users exporting to Excel to build client charts. Its Agent Experience Platform, which serves optimized page versions to AI crawlers, is a distinct idea worth knowing about, though it is sold on Enterprise.

4. Profound

Profound is an enterprise product, now marketed as an AI Marketer with agents for research, content and reporting. Enterprise pricing is custom, with an earlier estimate of about $40k a year. Its page mentions a self-serve Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace but shows no price. Agencies with enterprise clients may want a demo, but it sits below the dedicated AI-search platforms above for most roster-style work.

5. Agency-priced alternatives

  • Mentionable Agency is 299 euros a month, with 385 prompts, unlimited client projects, white-label reports and shareable audits.
  • Ceyo Grow is $119 a month billed yearly, with 5 projects and white-label exports. Pro+ is $399 a month billed yearly with unlimited projects.
  • Superlines lists agency plans with 5, 10 or 20 client brands at the same euro prices as its self-serve tiers, starting from 79 euros.
  • Cognizo has an agency partner program with white-label reporting, but the Platform plan starts at $499 a month.

These cost less than some of the platforms above, but none publishes crawler logs of the kind used to explain why a client is invisible.

6. Trackers worth a mention

Peec AI is known for prompt-level monitoring and agency workflows, though its entry-level plan tracks only a subset of models and it does not tell you what to change. Otterly.AI is the fastest to set up and starts at $29 a month, but the directory notes there is no PDF export for client reporting and data can lag by up to a week.

Who should pick which

An agency with five or more clients: Promptwatch agency plans. The deciding factor is usually that the PDF and the evidence behind it come from the same workspace, so the monthly report writes itself from crawler logs, citations and AI-referred conversions.

A freelancer with two or three small clients: Mentionable or Ceyo can be enough, as long as you check the exported report looks like something you would send under your name.

An in-house team reporting upward: the Looker Studio connector and scheduled PDFs matter more than white-label. Promptwatch Professional covers both.

A single enterprise brand with a procurement process: ask AthenaHQ, Scrunch AI and Profound for demos, and ask each how reporting works before you ask about the score.

A monthly report that gets read

Whichever platform you pick, build the report around decisions. Start with one plain sentence on what changed. Show Share of Voice against two named competitors. List the biggest citation gains and losses, any crawler errors you found and fixed, and AI-referred conversions if the client has tracking in place. End with what you will do next month.

Keep it to a page. Clients rarely read past that, and a short report that explains cause and effect earns more trust than a long one that shows only a score.
