The Prompting Company vs Relixir 2026
Both sell an AI search program someone else runs: Relixir deploys its Rex agent into your CMS, The Prompting Company offers a $3,000 managed tier. We compare what each publishes, tracks, and proves.
These two are the closest thing to hiring a GEO team without hiring one. Relixir deploys an agent called Rex that monitors AI answers and writes into your CMS. The Prompting Company sells self-serve plans but recommends White-glove, a fully managed tier at $3,000 a month. Both act. They act on different things, and neither publishes much about measuring the outcome.

What the agent actually does
Rex is pitched as an autonomous GEO employee. Per Relixir's homepage, it monitors Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude, writes and publishes content with JSON-LD, refreshes pages on 30 to 60 day cycles, and runs backlink outreach. Deep research agents look for topic gaps, and technical audits sit alongside. Refreshing old pages on a schedule is something few tools in this directory do.
The Prompting Company's discovery side finds the questions buyers ask AI, writes AI-optimized articles for the gaps, and measures traffic and mentions from AI bots. Pro ($299/mo) includes 8 articles; White-glove includes 50, plus weekly and custom reports. Its second product has no Relixir equivalent: Agent Experience, an Enterprise audit that maps the tasks coding and personal agents run for a user and flags where they fail, such as unclear errors or missing docs.
Publishing path
Relixir is specific. Its integrations list Webflow, WordPress, Contentful, and Framer, plus Search Console, GA4, and Slack. Content lands in the CMS you already run.
The Prompting Company names no CMS on the pages we read. TechCrunch described it in October 2025 as hosting AI-optimized pages and routing AI agents to them, including about half a million pages for one Fortune 10 customer. That may suit you, or you may want articles on your own domain. Ask.
Engines and coverage
Relixir names four engines on its homepage and publishes no wider grid. The Prompting Company gates by plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini on Basic; Google AI added on Pro; DeepSeek, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode from White-glove. If coding agents matter to your funnel, only The Prompting Company tracks them, and only at $3,000 a month or above.
Price you can plan around
The Prompting Company publishes every self-serve price: Basic $99, Pro $299, White-glove $3,000, Enterprise custom. Credits are metered at one per AI response per region and 20 per article.
Relixir shows one Custom plan, deployed by its own team, with onboarding, integrations, and reporting included. Its docs list credit weights (a blog draft is 10, a refresh 1, a topic 5, a page scan 0.25) but no price per credit. You get a number after a sales call.

Who should pick which
Pick Relixir if you want an agent writing, refreshing, and building links inside a named CMS, and you are fine buying through a demo. Pick The Prompting Company if you sell an API, SDK, or CLI and want coding-agent coverage or the Agent Experience audit, with a published price.
The measurement gap, and Promptwatch
Neither vendor documents AI crawler logs, a crawl-to-citation path, or first-party conversion tracking. That matters more for managed programs than self-serve ones, because you are paying someone else to act and need an independent way to check.
Promptwatch is that check, and for many teams the better buy outright. Agent Analytics reads crawler logs from Cloudflare, Vercel, Fastly, and other CDNs; visitor analytics ties AI referrals to conversions; citation analytics go down to page, Reddit, and YouTube. Its automated Content Agent, on Business at $579/mo, publishes to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress through a review inbox, at a fraction of White-glove's price. Try Promptwatch.
