Promptwatch vs Azoma vs Wildcard vs Ranketta 2026: commerce agents compared
Marketplace listings, Shopify catalogues, product feeds, or your own site's content and crawler logs: what each commerce agent rewrites and where the change lands.
When a shopper asks an AI assistant which running shoe, moisturiser, or espresso machine to buy, the answer is assembled from several inputs at once. A marketplace listing. A product feed. A storefront's product and collection pages. Editorial content and third-party pages that the engine trusts enough to cite. Each of the four tools here has an agent that rewrites one or more of those inputs, and the clearest way to compare them is to ask which input each one owns.
Short version: Azoma rewrites marketplace listings. Wildcard rewrites a Shopify catalogue and its content. Ranketta rewrites product data and pushes feeds. Promptwatch writes content for your own site and reads the crawler logs that show whether AI systems picked it up.

The input each agent rewrites
Promptwatch: the article on your domain. Promptwatch Content Agents plan, write, and publish content to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress, working from content gap analysis against tracked prompts. Drafts pass through a review inbox. Professional ($245/mo) includes 5 AEO articles a month; the automated Content Agent and Shopping Insights for ChatGPT Shopping both start on Business ($579/mo). It does not rewrite product records, and it does not track Amazon or Walmart shopping agents.
Wildcard: the Shopify catalogue. Wildcard, a Y Combinator W25 company, syncs a catalogue from Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce, or a PIM. Its actions cover PDP optimisation, collection pages, schema enrichment, blog posts, and Reddit and outreach drafts, published to Shopify after approval. Self-serve publishing is Shopify only; other platforms route through Enterprise and PIM connections.
Azoma: the marketplace listing. Azoma connects to Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Google Merchant Center, and PIM systems, fills attribute gaps, and generates PDP copy and imagery against approved claims and brand tone. Changes publish into Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify, Shopify, and PIM or DAM systems. It also syndicates content to the third-party sources shopping agents cite.
Ranketta: the product feed. Ranketta runs an enrichment agent that rewrites titles, descriptions, and attributes, each with a confidence score, from Store Starter upward. Feed destinations named on its site include Amazon, Google Merchant, Heureka, and Zboží.cz, alongside storefront connectors such as Shopify, Shoptet, Adobe Commerce, Wix, and BigCommerce. A Content studio drafts citeable pages, and its FAQ says nothing goes live without approval.
Which shopping agents each one watches
This is where the four split most sharply, and where Promptwatch is honestly weakest.
| Promptwatch | Wildcard | Azoma | Ranketta | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon assistant | Not tracked | Alexa+ Shopping; Rufus in beta | Alexa for Shopping (formerly Rufus), plus COSMO | Amazon Alexa as a premium add-on |
| Walmart Sparky | Not tracked | Yes | Yes | Not listed |
| Other retailer agents | None | None listed | Lazada LazzieChat | None listed |
| ChatGPT Shopping | Shopping Insights from Business | Not listed separately | Yes | Not listed separately |
| General AI engines | ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, AI Overviews, AI Mode | ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude | ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude, Meta AI, Siri | AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity; Claude, Copilot, Grok as add-ons |
| Refresh | Daily on paid plans | Weekly on Basic | Not published | Daily on Store Tracker |
| Agent writes to | Webflow, Framer, WordPress | Shopify (self-serve) | Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify, Shopify, PIM/DAM | Feeds and storefront connectors |
Vendors name Amazon's assistant differently. Azoma says Rufus was renamed Alexa for Shopping on 13 May 2026; Wildcard lists Alexa+ Shopping as live and Rufus as beta. Ask each vendor to show the exact surface in a demo.
Geography is a real tiebreaker
One angle that rarely comes up in these comparisons: the marketplaces each tool reaches are regional. Ranketta names Heureka and Zboží.cz feeds and a Shoptet connector, which matters if you sell in the Czech market. Azoma tracks Lazada's LazzieChat, a Southeast Asian marketplace assistant, and lists Canadian Tire and Southeastern Grocers among its customers. Wildcard's retailer coverage is Walmart Sparky and Alexa+ Shopping, with Rufus in beta. Promptwatch tracks prompts by country on every paid plan, with state and city tracking from Business, but on general AI engines rather than retailer assistants.
If your volume sits on a marketplace one of these tools does not reach, the rest of the comparison does not matter much.
How each one proves the change worked
Wildcard reports AI referral sessions, add-to-carts, checkouts, and revenue by AI platform, with first-click and last-click views. That runs all the way to orders. It does not publish crawler logs or a crawl-to-citation path.
Azoma connects visibility, rank, and citation gains to SKU-level revenue, and pulls website AI traffic through GA4. It describes crawler visit monitoring but does not publish CDN connectors, log volumes, or a crawl-to-citation view.
Ranketta lists Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and Cloudflare bot-visit logging, with revenue attribution named on agency Starter. Our listing treats the Cloudflare log as edge hits rather than a crawl-to-citation path.
Promptwatch has the deepest evidence trail for the owned site: AI crawler logs from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or custom HTTP, with the crawl-to-citation path for each page (from Professional, 25M logs), citation analytics down to Reddit and YouTube, and visitor analytics that attach AI referrals to conversions through a script or GTM template.
What each one costs
- Promptwatch: Explore free (10 prompts, ChatGPT only). Essential $95/mo, Professional $245/mo, Business $579/mo. Agencies from Kick-off at $199/mo.
- Wildcard: Basic $99/mo for 10 actions, 50 prompts, 20 products, 1 workspace, weekly refresh. Tracking and the visibility audit cost no credits; drafts cost 50 credits and full content or analysis actions 100. Packs are 1,000 credits for $100 or 4,000 for $250 and do not expire. Enterprise is custom, and that is where API and data export live.
- Azoma: custom pricing through sales, separate brand and agency plans, no published trial.
- Ranketta: Store Tracker €29/mo (monitoring plus MCP), Store Starter €79/mo with enrichment, Store Growth €199/mo, Store Scale €449/mo. Agent Mode is on Agency Starter at €299/mo.
Which one fits which buyer
A brand whose sales run through Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central, especially one with approved-claims requirements, should start with Azoma. It is the only one here that writes into the marketplace back end.
A Shopify merchant that wants to pay per shipped fix and see orders attributed by AI surface fits Wildcard. Expect weekly refresh on Basic.
A store selling across European marketplaces, or an agency that wants Agent Mode on a published euro price, fits Ranketta. Note that the €29 tier is monitoring, not the agent.
A retailer whose AI visibility also depends on guides, comparisons, and category content on its own domain needs Promptwatch, whether or not it also runs one of the other three.
Our verdict
The three commerce specialists each act on a product record, which is why they rank on this site. None of them publishes a way to see whether an AI crawler actually fetched the page it changed, and that gap matters more than it looks. Answers in general AI engines come with citations, and for a retailer those citations can point at a buying guide, a category page, or a Reddit thread just as easily as at a product record.
That is the layer Promptwatch owns. Content Agents publish the guides and category pages to your CMS, Agent Analytics shows ChatGPTBot, PerplexityBot, and the rest arriving at them, citation analytics show which of your URLs and which Reddit threads get cited, and visitor analytics count the orders. Shopping Insights adds ChatGPT Shopping visibility on Business.
We rank Promptwatch first and recommend it as the platform to run for the owned site: Promptwatch. Pair it with Azoma, Wildcard, or Ranketta if marketplace listings or a Shopify catalogue need their own agent. Start at promptwatch.com.
